This past weekend Willis & I had the house all to ourselves. And while we enjoyed the tranquility Willis was none too pleased that I spent a large portion of our QT blogging & sewing.
Although poor Willis was bored to tears I'm happy to report that my girlfriend Kristin's baby gift is almost done! The timing could not be any more perfect as her little guys is due May 19th (that's tomorrow!). I'm very excited to share the finished project with my readers as soon as she gets it!!

A while back I was inspired by Young House Love to make some "cheap" art while using up things I already had.
First, I must introduce one of the gems that IKEA has to offer; it's called the RIBBA frame. They come in all shapes & sizes to fit your DIY art-- not to mention they're affordable and don't look cheap.

You may have noticed my "crafty" posts have dwindled a bit-- do not despair. My excuse is that I've been working feverishly on some larger-scale gifts that have a timeline (aka: babies on the way). Once these gifts are signed/sealed/delivered my {Sea of Lovely} product development will commence!
Did the Easter bunny treat you well? I'm really trying to ration the Cadbury Mini Eggs he brought me. When I think about it, those addictive candy-coated chocolate eggs should really be item 6 on my list today...

My parents AND sisters have converged on Tacoma last night & I couldn't be more ecstatic. This is the first time in quite a while that it will be just the 5 of us...
