pretty much the most awesome dog ever.

He't not finicky & doesn't require a comfy bed.
A wall to lean on is perfectly suitable.

he makes my handmade goods look even better :)

Well boys & girls it's time to delve into 2012! I apologize for my blogging absence during the past few weeks & I promise to be back in action. Gotta start the New Year off, right?

Cutest To-Go Cup on the Block

In my efforts to be increasingly green I've been wanting to assemble one of these for a very long time. Who doesn't love ogling a cute photo collage while sucking down your morning cup of Joe? OOh- Pick me, pick me.

Since committing to my own place that is old & naturally has little closet space I've been
scouring the web for creative ways to display what would otherwise be tucked away.
Found this in a simple google search at coolmaterial & the boyfriend says
he can help make it for much less than the $191 they were charging!

Had seen these in West Elm's catalog a time or two;
now they're on sale!

     Yes, it's true, I'm not getting around to this post until Tuesday. So sorry to disappoint. Truthfully, I have a great excuse as I was having a wonderful 4th of July weekend. This week's "lovely things" features "my long weekend in pictures". The PacificNW was simply stunning this holiday weekend. It is times like this that make you remember why you endure the very grey winters...

Retro Fabulous

First of all, I've been checking my blog stats...I have readers- yay!! Thanks for indulging me. If anything, I use this blog as a creative outlet but it makes it all the more worth while with loyal readers like you :)

Next I'd like to say that I have limited photography skills; however, I've always been quite the shutterfly. I am the reliable friend that documents every party, shower, wedding, etc. & has the pics posted online within 24 hours. Who doesn't love instant gratification, right? And can I just tell you how much I love smartphones' retro-inspired camera/photo apps?! Such a simple thing but the result is a photo filled with vintage-esque quality & delight. Here is a sampling of my faves (taken on a Motorola DROID with the "retroCamera" app):
